WELCOME HOME

Hi Kari,
We wanted to let you know that so far things are going well for Ocean.  We are currently working on getting her acclimated. Her and Colby are like a couple of kids so far, wanting what the other one has, but we are working through that and getting her on a schedule.

WONDERFUL WALKING ANENOME

Anenomes are known for 'walking' around their tanks...to find that perfect little nook to call their own.  The first three days after added our anenome to our tank he picked this one special spot.  I moved him from it and he went right back within a couple of hours.  So I ended up rearranging a couple of the rock so that we could get a better view of the anenome.  This is the spot he has been in now for the past few weeks.  This morning I woke up to find the anenome gone.  WHAT?  Upon closer look we noticed it moved, around the rock...later today he was climbing up the rock.

This is where everything has been for the past few weeks...anenome in the bottom right corner...

Today the anenome is still on the right side...but climbing up the rock near the top where the green polyp is

And the side view

the spot he has called home is slightly out of view in this picture but was on the rock to the lower left....beneath the orange dendro

UKC WEEKEND

Hey - congrats to all your brags to all of you at the AKC trial.   Sounds like fun and legs were gotten by all.

We were down the road at Northfield doing UKC Rally and Agility.    Ms. Jeannie was a good girl.   She got to play rally 3x as did Mr. Lance.   Both Q'd in all their runs but no titles since they only hired one judge and we need 2 to get titles.

Results:
Jeannie -  Rally - 100, 96, 100 (2 first place and High in Trial) - "ole girls can still rule" (I was sooo proud of Jeannie).
Lance - Rally - 97, 97, 99 (1 second placement)  and in Agilty we earned 24 AtCH points.

Take care and hope to see ya around the trials someday.

Laura

CONGRATULATIONS LAURA, JEANNIE & LANCE! High in Trial Jeannie...what a special Ole Gal...she rocks!  Congratulations Lance...what a good boy!

NEW REEF ADDITIONS

Things have continued to progress well with Clay and my little reef tank.  Water is testing good. So this week we added in a couple of corals.  We have now added a Dendro, a Green Star Polyp, a Cat eyed Zoanthid, and one other...(but I forgot the name right now)
Here is an updated picture...

SUNDAY SMWC AKC

Another great day at SMWC....Bogey earned another MXJ leg!!  The best part about that was...the EX JWW course was a doozie!!  Lead changes and crosses every two jumps...many of those wing jumps right up against the pilars.  It was tough to indicate to the dog where they were going next....so we were mostly steering from behind.  Not ideal.  But Kim and Bogey pulled it off!!!

Here is his JWW video

Kim and Bogey were headed for another QQ...but Bogey took Kim literally and when she said BIG jump...he never looked at the  jump and just jumped...causing him to leave WAAAAYYY early and land on top of the double jump...

Trinket worked hard on the JWW course also, even though the choice of handling was not ideal for her....it was tough!

I knew when walking the JWW course, that would 'fry' baby Boo's brains...can you see the smoke while he is running.  (Actually hope not as I worked hard to keep it fun for him.  The crosses with wing jumps behind the pilar so that he could not see me....was very difficult for him.  But we kept it upbeat.

Miss Macy added another QQ this weekend.  YEEHAA!!  She too puled off that tough JWW course...then ended the day with a Q in Standard.  Here is her Standard run!

And I ended the day with a super run with Hurri in Jumpers.  She was composed, and worked and tried really hard to stay that way.  I unfortunately, was caught on my heels..forgot to do a front cross, sending her long before the double jump.  Hurri was NOT in position to take the double jump....if it had been Macy, Trinket, and for sure Taboo they would have run around it...well Hurri being Hurri took and attempt and destroyed the jump.  MY FAULT...I knew it a stride and a half before she took off.  I am very proud of her.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!

Right after I picked up Clay from school...we headed off to meet Grandpa (and Grandma) at one of our favorite fish restaurants, to celebrate Grandpa's birthday!!

The meal was fabulous as usual...and it was fun for all of us to get together....(of course Clay was happy to get to stay up a bit later too)

Our waiter gave Clay some brainteasers..that earned him a free dessert ...Grandpa got one too for it being his B-DAY

LOUNGING OCEAN SIDE???

Taboo seems to be finding the sounds of the water...and the waves, very soothing.  He snatches a sweatshirt or something of mine...pulls it up on the back of the chair and lounges in front of the reef tank...

SAT JAN 30th SMWC AKC AGILITY

What a fun day of great runs, and wonderful friends at the SMWC AKC AGILITY...
The BIG brags for the day!
Kim and her wonderful boy Bogey had to beautiful runs today to earn another QQ!  Even better, part of that double....Bogey earned a 2nd place MXJ leg amongst tough competition!!  What a guy!
Taboo earned a 1st Place AXJ Leg...to finish his AXJ Title!

Trink, Macy, Greta, and even Hurri had some really nice runs....and certainly had fun!!!
